ESTABLISHED IN BANARAS

Our Heritage, Your Jar

Preserving the soulful flavors of ancient India through the art of sun-cured, artisanal pickling.

THE LEGACY

The Ancestral Recipe

For generations, the kitchens of Banaras have whispered secrets of preservation. Our recipes are not merely instructions; they are heirlooms passed down through five generations of the Mishra family.

Each blend of mustard oil and hand-ground spices is calibrated to the rhythm of the seasons, ensuring that every jar of Banarasi Achar captures the exact essence of a grandmother's love and the sacred soil of the Ganges.

Artisan Mixing Spices

"A jar of pickles is a vessel of time, capturing the sun's warmth and the Earth's patience."

THE PROCESS

Sun-Cured Perfection

While modern manufacturing prizes speed, we prize the sun. Our pickles spend up to 45 days in traditional ceramic Martabans, basking in the intense Indian summer heat. This slow fermentation allows the spices to penetrate deep into the fruit, creating a complex, layered flavor profile that cannot be rushed.

45 DAYS UNDER THE SUN

Breathable ceramic vessels that maintain the perfect temperature for fermentation.

Mustard Oil

Pure Cold-Press

We use only the first press of local mustard seeds for its pungent, preservative qualities.

Sun-Dried Spices

Patience in Purity

Spices are sun-dried to remove moisture naturally, preserving their essential oils.
